Working out at home is a huge must for someone like me, who always has their children around. Up until this last year, I was able to use my free time to put in work at the gym. Usually that would occur when my children were at school. With the school year being a little different this year, that’s not as doable as before. I also have welcomed another child into my family this year and he doesn’t go to daycare so all the more reason to workout from home! Here is a list of the best workout equipment for money savvy moms!

I use the ones pictured specifically for my arm strength training, as well as for stretching. I personally purchased these over a year ago and the durability is the exact same as when I purchased them. I do have two separate sets. This one specifically for arms, while my other set is a little bit of a wider band and I use them for all lower body workouts!
If you’re not using dumbbells while you workout, now is the time to start! When I first started working out, I did lots of cardio and HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) workouts without any weights. This past year I have added weights too all possible workouts . So I should be buff, right? NO! I am definitely a lot stronger, but I don’t huge muscles. Using dumbbells has helped me to strengthen and tone the muscle that I do have! You can do so many different workouts with them! I have 5,10, and 15 pound weights.
I use a kettlebell also for strength training! It ultimately works any part of your body that you put work to. This particular kettlebell is very durable and easy to grip due to the wide smooth handle. This kettlebell is available in many different size ranges. I personally have a 10 pound.
I have a few jump roping exercises in my free workout plan that i constructed in my post on getting started with fitness. Jump roping is great for quickly burning calories, strengthening bones and improves your heart health. I do not have a jump rope as my children lost it (go figure) but this is my ideal purchase because it comes with TWO jump ropes for a great price.
I previously used this mat but, now that I do my workouts on a carpeted floor, I do not use this. If you’re working out on tile or hard wood floors, I highly recommend this mat! It is non slip on both sides. It is spacious. It definitely made my planks not hurt as much( on my elbows at least LOL).
All in All…
